Finest Cheshire Chunk Honey

£8.80

The Liquid Honey in this product is as described in the Runny Honey Section.

This Product has a Chunk of Honeycomb taken from a frame from within the Bee Hive.

Each frame of Honeycomb has been selected by its quality, thickness and appearance. It has been cut into chunks to fit and placed into the jar. Each jar is then filled manually with a bucket and tap to carefully encompass the Chunk of Honeycomb. This allows consumers to enjoy both the smooth liquid honey and the chewy honeycomb in the same.

What it is

  • A mix of liquid honey and a solid piece of honeycomb.

  • The comb and liquid honey come from the same hive.

  • It is often unpasteurized and minimally filtered to retain natural properties.

  • The comb itself is edible, though some prefer to chew the honey out and discard the wax.

How it's made

  • Pieces of honeycomb are carefully cut and placed into a jar.

  • Liquid honey is then poured in to fill the remaining space.

  • Beekeepers try to minimize air bubbles during the process and may let the jars sit overnight for bubbles to rise.

How to enjoy it

  • Spread on toast.

  • Add to cheese boards.

  • Drizzle over yogurt, fruit, or porridge.

  • Add to hot tea.

  • Eat the entire piece of comb, or chew the honey from it and spit out the wax.
